Why cant I see the videos?
To view these videos you will need to have the following:
- Broadband internet access. This should be at least 512Kb speed. To test your connection speed visit adslguide.org.uk. For more information about broadband visit the broadband.co.uk site.
- Flash v6.65 or above. To download the Flash Player for free visit the Adobe website.
For optimum viewing, we also recommend the following minimum PC specification:
- Processor: Pentium PC 1.2 GHz or higher (or Mac equivalent)
- Memory: 512MB RAM
- Web Browser
- Flash v6.65 or above. To download the Flash Player for free visit the Adobe website.
- 512Kb Broadband connection
- Sound card and speakers
- 32MB Graphics card
Your computer supplier can confirm the specification of your PC.
If these are installed and you are still having problems seeing the videos then it may be due to your company's settings. If this is the case you can contact your internal technical support area for more information.
Why cant I hear the videos?
To hear the videos you need to check the volume controls on your computer and turn the volume up. You can check this in three ways:
- Turn up the volume on the control panel on your computer screen
- If you have volume buttons on your keyboard you can turn up the sound using these
- Turn up the volume using the volume bar on our video player
If you are viewing these videos at work, you may have the sound disabled on your computer. In this case, if your company policy allows the sound to be activated, you will need to contact your technical support area to request the sound card to be switched on for your PC and you may wish to listen to the videos using a set of headphones.
Why is the quality of the videos poor?
If you can see the videos but the picture or sound quality is poor or the speed is slow then this is usually due to lower broadband limitations and fluctuations in the bandwidth. We recommend you view the videos on at least 512Kb of bandwidth or higher. To test your connection speed visit adslguide.org.uk.
Different broadband providers will offer different speeds. You can upgrade your broadband speed by contacting your provider. As you increase the bandwidth you should enjoy improved quality of presentations.
Visit the broadband.co.uk site for more information on broadband and how to upgrade your system.
